2nd day of SPP

Today was the 2nd day of SPP. Participants took samples from hand-stones/small stones with pits and look at slides with cross-polarized light. All members were divided into 8 groups, and they analyses 8 stones.

Making permanent slides

As the analysing results, 3 groups found starch granules from stones, and others did not find any granules.

After microscopic analyses, all of groups interpreted the data and showed their ideas. 3 groups finding starch granules presented those morphological features, and others indicated the reasons why their samples did not contain starch residues.

Beyond my expectation, students presented their own ideas logically. They seemed to enjoy this course according to their presentation.
