On January 31 (Thu) and February 1 (Fri), at the Chuo University, I took residue samples from stone tools in the Jomon period: 19 at the Ohinohara site (Sagamihara city in Kanagawa) and 7 at the Kamikuroiwa-iwakage site (Kumakogen-cho in Ehime).
Can I extract any starch granules from these samples? Can I get any new information for exploring uses of stone tools in the Jomon period? I'm looking forward to getting results.
