Yesterday, I attended to the international symposium "The Pre-pottery Neolithic in the Upper Tigris Valley: Gusir Höyük and Hasankeyf Höyük" at the Tsukuba University.
From this year, I'm joining in the research project includiing excavations in the Hasankeyf Höyük (URL: Japanese), and so I attended to this symposium to get basic knowledges.
Many grinding stones were found from this site. I'm very interested in whether these stone tools were used for processing plants or not, and what kind of results I can get regarding plant utilization in the Hasankeyf Höyük.
The public lecture will be conducted on March 26 (Tue).
