Just yesterday, I went to join in striping from a vertical soil profile for taking photos in the Kanai Shimo Shinden site, Shibukawa city, Gunma prefecture. This site was covered with much volcanic soils from the Mount Haruna during 6th century AD.
This profile will be shown at a new corner of our renovated exhibition project in the National Museum of Japanese History.
