Ethnography of Archaeology

Our cooperative research of the National Museum of Ethnology "Ethnography of Archaeology: Diversity in the Production, Utilization, and Transformation of Archaeological Knowledge" started from this month. We will conduct this project for 3.5 years.

October 17th (Sat) and 18th (Sun), our 1st meeting was held. Our project leader Dr. John Ertl (Center for Cultural Resource Studies, Kanazawa University) and other members are working in their various research fields. So this research project will show very new research results.

It was very short, but I saw "Food Culture in Korea and Japan: the Tastes of NANUM and OMOTENASHI", which are held as a special exhibition, as well. I felt this exhibition contain Minpaku own "aesthetic" senses.
