WAC-8 Kyoto: 2 sessions

The following 2 sessions were accepted for the Eighth World Archaeological Congress (WAC-8 Kyoto). Our abstracts are available here.

T10-P Multi-proxy evidence for reconstructing ancient diets and foodways
  Organisers: Ayako Shibutani, Oliver Craig (University of York, UK)
T10-S Food, cuisine and diet: integrating method and theory
  Organisers: Ayako Shibutani, Oliver Craig, Shin'ya Shoda (University of York, UK)

The latter, T10-S is a kind of "general session" in collaboration with the following 5 sessions.
  • T05-C The Impact of Human (Homo sapiens) on Prehistoric Island Environments: Global Perspectives
  • T05-H Food, Identity and Choice: using diet to explore past social change
  • T10-K Skeleton keys: How human remains research contributes to our understanding of the past
  • T10-M Anthropic Markers of Plant-related Activities: Archaeobotany 2.0
  • T10-P Multi-proxy evidence for reconstructing ancient diets and foodways
Call for individual papers will start on January 15.
