A meeting of the Integrated Studies of Cultural and Research Resources and Jomon sympoium

Integrated Studies of Cultural and Research Resources: Workshop 1 of our cooperative research
On December 9 (Fri), we conducted the 3rd meeting of Workshop 1 for Integrated Studies of Cultural and Research Resources (URL: just only in Japanese).

The main theme was "How can we use historical information data in research and education?", and we collaborated with the IPSJ SIG Computers and the Humanities (URL: just only in Japanese).

Speakers: Yoshihiro Okada (Kyushu University), Yoshihiro Takata (Kanazawa University)

There were 30 participants including our project members, and we had a very active discussion after the presentations. 


Jomon symposium
On December 11 (Sun), I joined in the symposium of the Center for Obsidian and Lithic studies, Meiji University, "A New Jomon World 1 Developed by Japanese Historic Sites (Kuni shiseki ga hiraku Jomon no sekai 1: Sentan kenkyu ga terasu Jomon shakai no jitsuzo)" (URL: just only in Japanese).

All of reports were very interesting for me, and I realised these enormous research results developed by the current analysing techniques newly. I'm looking forward to knowing about their further research perspectives.
